Fr Richard’s day off commences at 5pm on a Friday and ends at 5pm on a Saturday.

(He is unavailable during this time unless in emergencies).

v  Phil & Sara Bramall will be hosting a time of fellowship and bible study at their home, 37 Claerwen Drive, at 7.30pm on the 2^nd and 4^th Tuesday of the month, starting on 28^th September Initially we will be looking at the gospel of Mark, but there will be plenty of time for chat, plus fairtrade coffee, tea, fruit juice, cookies and flapjack. If you are interested in coming, please let us know (tel. 20759353; email: bramall@ymail.com). Please bring a bible, preferably in a modern translation, if you have one.

v  “Request for sick visiting”

Should you wish to request a pastoral visit for someone who is sick please complete the book kept on the Lady Chapel altar. It'll be checked weekly"

v  Fr Richard will usually be available in the Parish Office immediately following the 9.30am Eucharist on Thursdays. Please feel free to drop in for a chat, coffee etc.

v  RIP: Ann Chapman: the funeral service will take place on Tuesday 14^th September at 2.15pm at Christ Church.

v  Congratulations to John & Betty Walrond who celebrate their Diamond Wedding Anniversary, 60years. On 26^th August we celebrated in Bath with our family, we would be very glad if our friends in our worshipping family would join us after the service next Sunday, 12^th, for some cake and a glass of wine to share in our happiness on this occasion.

v  Mothers’ Union: Wednesday September 15^th at 2.15pm, “Entertaining Ourselves”. For those members receiving ‘Families First’ please pay Molly for next year. It will be £9 and a cheque made payable to Llandaff Diocese M U is best.

v  Christ Church Society meeting: the next meeting will feature a talk, “the History of the Bristol Channel Steamers” by Alan Thorne and will be in the church hall on Wednesday 22^nd September at 7.30pm. Cost including buffet and refreshments, £5, payable to Howard Kilvington. List on notice board in porch.

v  Chatterbox post cards: please take one or more and pass it on to someone who you think would like to come along. This is a new venture and begins on Wednesday 8^th September.

v  Home Communions: If you know anybody who would like to receive communion at home please inform the Parish Office or Richard or Joyce or Gerald. The day this month is Tuesday September 7^th.

v  Parish Retreat: 2010 ADVENT RETREAT:  led by Fr Richard at St Non’s Retreat Centre, St David’s, 30^th November to 2^nd December, cost £90 p.p. Names to Joyce Rice, in an envelope please with £10 deposit.
